Chelsea allegedly express an interest in signing Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho during the January transfer window.
Chelsea have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho during the January transfer window, but Napoli are still thought to be the favourites for the Argentina international.
There is currently widespread speculation surrounding Garnacho’s future, with Man United said to be willing to let the 20-year-old leave for the right price due to the financial restrictions in place.
Napoli have now confirmed the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain, and it is understood that Garnacho is the Italian club’s number one replacement, with the funds now in place to potentially complete a deal.
Man United are believed to have rejected a £40m offer for the attacker towards the end of last week, but Antonio Conte‘s team are said to be lining up an improved offer for Garnacho, with the player said to be open to a switch.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Chelsea are also in the mix for Garnacho, with the Blues considering moving for the youngster due to their desire to bring another winger to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea ‘interested in Man United attacker Garnacho’
The report claims that Man United’s position remains the same, with the Red Devils not looking to sell Garnacho, but any serious offers for the Argentina international would have to be considered.
Man United head coach Ruben Amorim has sent out a transfer message by including Garnacho in his starting XI for the team’s last two matches against Arsenal and Southampton.
It was also notable that Garnacho played the full 90 minutes against Southampton on Thursday night, with Man United turning the game around to record a 3-1 victory over the Saints at Old Trafford.
Borussia Dortmund‘s Jamie Gittens is also thought to be on Chelsea’s radar, with the London club considering a number of options in the latter stages of the January transfer window.

Could Garnacho make incredible move to Chelsea?
A switch for Garnacho away from Old Trafford before the end of the January transfer window cannot be ruled out, especially with Napoli now likely to step up their interest in the youngster.
However, it is incredibly difficult to imagine Man United letting him make the move to a domestic rival.
Garnacho has a contract with the Red Devils until June 2028, while the club would only listen to substantial offers, so Chelsea would have to place serious money on the table for it to become even slightly possible.
The forward is having a productive season, scoring eight goals and registering five assists in 31 appearances at club level, but there are concerns whether he can operate in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system as an inside forward.
