Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera and could battle Real Madrid for his signature.
Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera, with the Bundesliga giants potentially battling Real Madrid for his signature during this summer’s transfer window.
Mosquera, 20, is thought to be one of the centre-backs on Real Madrid’s radar, as Los Blancos prepare to sign a player in that area of the field at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Spain Under-21s international has made 22 appearances for a struggling Valencia outfit this term, but he has entered the final 18 months of his contract, and Valencia are believed to be struggling to sign him to an extension.
Real Madrid are believed to have had scouts watching Mosquera throughout the campaign, with the capital giants desperate to add a young defender to their squad at the end of the season.
However, according to Fichajes, Bayern are also ‘seriously considering’ moving for the defender, while AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are believed to be admirers of his talents.

Bayern ‘join the race’ for Mosquera
The report claims that Bayern have recently sent scouts to Spain to watch the youngster, and favourable reports have been returned.
Mosquera is thought to be willing to sign a new contract at Valencia but is demanding that the release clause is set at €25m (£21m), which Los Che are not accepting at this moment in time.
However, from next January, unless a new deal is signed, Mosquera would be free to enter into discussions with foreign clubs over a pre-contract, and losing him on a free transfer is a nightmare scenario for Los Che.

Which club will win the race for Mosquera?
Real Madrid are believed to be best-placed at this moment in time, with contact between the two clubs already being made.
Mosquera would find it incredibly difficult to reject the chance to move to Real Madrid, and relegation for Valencia this season would place Los Che in an even weaker position when it comes to his future.
Mosquera made the move to Valencia from Hercules in 2016, progressing through the youth system before making his first-team debut in 2021, and he has gone from strength-to-strength at Mestalla.
The centre-back is currently on 71 appearances for Los Che’s senior team, including 64 outings in Spain’s top flight.
